Identify the goals, impact categories and the set of processes interconnected by product flows (ISO 14040). The functional unit is also identified: the product on which to base the analysis and comparison with possible alternatives.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The collection of data to be used in the assessment phase, which in turn is divided into three steps: the creation of a flow chart, the collection of data and the processing and presentation of the results.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

\nAssessment of impacts\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/span>\n\n\n\n

This consists of classification and characterisation (mandatory) and normalisation and weighing (optional). During classification, the collected data are categorised, and characterisation involves the determination of individual emissions.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The results of the previous steps are summarised, analysed and discussed with the aim of identifying possible areas for improvement, ensuring final mitigation of environmental impacts.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n\n\n
