Materials Engineer specialising in sustainability, optimisation of waste management and treatment. He has always been passionate about environmental issues and is an expert in the development of industrial projects related to research and development in the Circular Economy, particularly when it comes to plastics.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Module 1 – “PLASTICS AND THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

A journey of discovery of plastics: a material as versatile as it is complex. We will discover how it is produced, how it is transformed, what it looks like and what applications it has by virtue of its properties.

In the context of sustainability and the circular economy we will highlight which aspects need to be considered for the correct use of this material and its optimal recycling. We will also provide all the basic tools for a correct approach to material selection for different types of products.

Who is it addressed to?

A journey to discover the end of life of plastic. Waste with countless environmental problems or a resource that is still undervalued? We will apply the concept of circular economy to this material, discovering countless examples and technologies. We will trace the outlines of several existing supply chains and try to outline some possible future dynamics and evolutions. For each example we will try to investigate which technological and economic logic differentiates it from other possible recovery routes.

Who is it addressed to?

Module 2 is aimed at the various players active in the chain of collection, recycling or disposal of plastic waste; at those responsible for managing company waste; at recent graduates who want to study in depth issues concerning the end of life of plastic materials and, more generally, at anyone who wants to acquire the tools for a more conscious choice of material for their products and services.
