The context
In the world of luxury, circularity represents the new frontier of exclusivity.
Kering Eyewear set out to address the end-of-life of its products, seeking solutions to recover valuable materials and reduce the environmental impact of post-consumer disposal.
The objectives
Implement a circular supply chain model compliant with EPR regulations, transforming end-of-life products into new strategic resources for the brand.
Circularity's intervention
We supported Kering Eyewear in developing an innovative recovery ecosystem:
Scenario and Feasibility Analysis: We mapped the European regulatory landscape (EPR) and analyzed the technologies available for the treatment and valorization of optical materials (acetates, metals, lenses).
Recovery Model Design: We defined a logistical and technical workflow for the collection and treatment of post-consumer products, ensuring the highest quality of the recovered material.
Funding Support (PNRR/EU): We assisted the company in identifying and applying for national and European funding calls to support technological innovation in the circular supply chain.
The results
-
Active Circular Supply Chain: Creation of a structured system for managing post-consumer products.
-
Regulatory Compliance: Early alignment with European directives on extended producer responsibility.
-
Sustainable Innovation: Development of new agreements with cutting-edge technology partners for the recycling of luxury materials.
