Osai defines its decarbonization strategy along the entire supply chain

Osai sits at the top of highly branched supply chains.

 

Decarbonization does not concern only heavy industries: a low-emission economy requires the involvement of the entire value chain, all the way to the end consumer.

 

It was therefore essential to build a structured emissions inventory and define concrete reduction actions.

Building a complete inventory of greenhouse gas emissions and defining an effective decarbonization plan, with particular focus on Scope 3, which represents the largest share of overall emissions.

We supported Osai in mapping emissions according to the three Scopes set out by international standards:

For Osai, Scope 1 and 2 presented limited values and accurate primary data, with relatively simple reduction approaches to implement.

 

Scope 3, on the other hand, accounted for the majority of overall emissions and required a multi-level strategy.

We therefore developed a supplier engagement plan, focusing efforts on partners associated with the most impactful raw materials and with a sufficient level of maturity to ensure greater transparency about their environmental impacts.
