Specialized in painting and thermal insulation solutions, the company stands out for its focus on material quality and living comfort.
The context
With the introduction of Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) and the growing focus on Green Building, Valt wanted to objectively assess the sustainability of its products.
The need was to scientifically measure the environmental impact of insulation solutions throughout their entire life cycle, in order to provide reliable data to designers and builders.
The objectives
Conduct rigorous LCA studies (ISO 14040) to obtain Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and promote resource efficiency.
Circularity's intervention
We analyzed the environmental profile of Valt products with a data-driven approach:
Inventory Analysis (LCI): We mapped energy consumption and raw materials used at production sites, analyzing the origin and impact of chemical and material components.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA): We calculated the environmental impact from cradle to grave, evaluating key indicators such as global warming potential and water footprint.
Green Procurement Support: Based on the results, we identified opportunities for integrating recycled materials and optimizing packaging, improving the durability and circularity of Valt solutions.
